少年行
十八羽林郎，戎衣侍漢王。
臂鷹金殿側，挾彈玉輿傍。
馳道春風起，陪游出建章。
Ballad of Youth
Eighteen-year-olds royal guards,
In martial dress, serving the Crown of Han.
With goshawk on arm, beside the Golden Hall,
With bow-pellets in fingers, by the Jade Carriage.
On the Empire’s road, spring winds rise,
Accompanying the outing, they depart from Jianzhang (Palace).
又
侍獵長楊下，承恩更射飛。
塵生馬影滅，箭落雁行稀。
薄暮隨天仗1，聮翩入瑣闈。
Attending the hunt beneath the Tall Poplars,
Enjoying the Crown’s favor and shooting the flying prey.
Dust rises, and horse shadows vanish;
Arrows fall, and goose ranks grow thin.
At twilight, they follow the imperial retinue,
In succession, entering the latticed gates
又【國秀集作 遊俠 】
玉劍膝邊橫，金盃馬上傾。
朝遊茂陵道，夜宿鳳皇城。
豪吏多猜忌，毋勞問姓名。
The Traveling Knight
A jade sword athwart his knees,
A golden cup tilts upon his horse.
In dawn, roaming the Maoling Road,
At night, lodging in Phoenix City.
“(You) the bold clerks may wonder and suspect,
But don’t trouble yourself for asking a House or Name.”

一身能擘兩雕弧，敵騎千重只似無。偏坐金鞍調白羽，紛紛射殺五單于。
邯鄲少年行 （高適）
邯鄲城南遊俠子，自矜生長邯鄲裡。千場縱博家仍富，幾處報讎身不死。宅中歌笑日紛紛，門外車馬如雲屯。未知肝膽向誰是，令人卻憶平原君。君不見即今交態薄，黃金用盡還疎索。以茲感歎辭舊遊，更於時事無所求。且與少年飲美酒，往來射獵西山頭。
